Gulat Ako!

Tuesday morning (August 30, 2022), check tayo email after ng 1st class ko then an email pop - up. Nagulat ako.

Subject ng Email na natanggap ko nung umaga

Mixed emotions because I did not expect to be accepted. Last day ng application ako nagpasa ng nomination at dun ko lang din ginawa yung content ng application. Alam ko medyo mahina yung portfolio ko ng pinasa kasi medyo kulang tayo sa elements na gusto nila makita pero nagpasa parin ako. Another thing, after ko magpasa nung application ay may natanggap ako ng email na medyo "nega" kasi may pinapa - edit sila ever. Hindi ko na ginawa yung pinapa - edit nila and I accepted na hindi ako matatanggap. Sabi sa response nila sa application wait lang sa week ng August 15, 2022. Wala ako natanggap na response nun at di na ako nag expect. 

Ano ang rason?

Kailangan ko yun para sa sarili ko. I need a validation and confirmation kung nasa tamang landas pa ba ako at may saysay pa ba ang ginagawa ko. This program is a validation of my work as an educator for students and other educators. In the academe, where the career ladder is very limited for a simple teacher like me. I doing more than what I expected to me. I make my own path and show leadership. Leadership that I start in craft as a teacher in the classroom. I am making my class as engaging as much as possible. It required a lot of trial and error before to make an engaging and effective one. I believe the technology really help me with that. Seryoso, kung wala ang productivity tools ng Microsoft at kung di ako marunong magkalikot medyo mawawalan ako ng trick kung paano makuha ang mga students to be engaged. Sympre kasunod ng pagkakaroon ng mga strategies sa pagtuturo, ang kasunod ay magbahagi sa kapwa guro. I am thankful for my co - educators in the school where I teach because they gave me the opportunity to share.

It is not easy to share your practices to your fellow educators. There is a certain feeling that you are being tested for your validity and sense. It is a challenge yet that is also a motivation. 

Madaldal ako. Maingay ako. Makulit ako.

That is me for most of the people however I have depth. I am critical especially when being a teacher is an issue. I love teaching and I love sharing what I am doing. It is my treasure or should I say "mayaman ako sa pagtuturo at di ko ikakayaman ang pagdadmot nito". It is natural to me to help my co - educators especially when pandemic happen. Ang inalala ko nung nagpandemic kung paano ko matutulungan yung mga kasama ko para makapagturo. Nandyan yung mga naging nanay ko sa school. I am very willing to extend time and resources just to help them. Iba ang labanan pag nasa classroom na ang mga teacher ngayong panahon ng pandemic. Technology is vital. It is not easy to learn how to transfrom your F2F teaching to full online teaching in a snap. It takes time ever. 

I am thankful that my co - educators because they are very willing to learn from me. I am super kulit to them and make them a student again. Dahil dyan naging leader ako. Siguro dahil dun kaya masasabi ko expert nga ako. Mahirap patunayan kaya naghanap ako ng mag-validate sa ginagawa ko.

Apply ako para malaman kung may sense ba yung ginagawa ko. Salamat sa pagkakataon sa Microsoft.

Ang Application

Applying in this kind of program is exciting. The application is reflective in nature. It is a portfolio. I make a reflection for the past years while I am teaching in an online modality. Sa totoo lang, nag - enjoy ako sa challenges and sa experiences. 

People think that I have the best equipment during the start of online class however I have a struggle on that. For the 1st half of that school year, I am teaching using my phone. It is super fun yet I reflected that I need to deliever it with optimal results. I am super happy because it made to do more things and critical in every move. I believe in productive struggles. It made  me better holistically. I learn how to save and invest in right equipment. I started recording my teaching for easy delivery. I turn out to be a content creator in YouTube. Wala pa pong monitization. Masaya kasi it saves energy when teaching. 

My take in my application is to showcase my body of work and its development. I always changed for the development of my craft. The pace might be different from time to time however I always changed how to make it develop. I always look on the problem. It is natural to me to be a problem - solver because my 1st love is Mathematics. I believe maximizing the resources with a little energy is working smart strategy. I believe the technology really help me to make it happen.

Enjoy lang kahit may hirap. Ang saya kaya may magawa ka then you will share it. Ayun ang naging sense sa akin nung application, ang mapakita yung ginawa ko. Hindi perfect yet may development. Reflective!

It is a Celebration!

Ang saya ko ng mabasa ko na natanggap ako! It is my 3rd time to be in the program. I believe what I am doing now is valid, I am happy and motivated to do more. Microsoft's vision when I started with them is to make everyone to do more and be more. For me, it is not only about the Microsoft products however it is being human that is ready for the future that is open to posibilities that this world will be better. 

I will celebrate this one. Being in the worldwide list is an honor and responsibity to my students, co - educators and my country. I living in the Philippines and I believe that there is a bright future. One of my inspirations why I am still teaching (in high school) is a short film created by Jerrold Tarog titled Faculty. You need to watch it as well to understand my inspiration.

I am very happy. I am thankful for Jose Rizal University both administration and students for the opportunity to be creative and share my practices. Isang Dekada ng Pagtuturo Ko Ever!

10 years na akong nagtuturo. Maraming nagbago sa akin mula nung nagsimula ako. Siguro teacher na talaga ako.

Iisa - isahin ko ang naging summary ng bawat taon ng pagtuturo ko. I would rate my experience as overall. 10 is the highest.

1st Year Teacher sa SanFe

In your face year. Maraming natutunan at nasimulan. Iba pala talaga ang natutunan nung college at nung nagtratrabaho na ako. Ito yung taon na binuo mo yung professional self - image mo. Principles and sense mo sa profession. Ang saya ko nito kasi ang isang sa highlights yung pagiging interested to sa technology. Nakagamit na ako ng smartboard nung panahon na ito. Marami rin akong sablay nung panahon na ito. Grabe yun! I would say 10/10 ang experience ko ever.

1st Year Teacher sa Hopia

Yes, isang taon lang ako sa unang school kung saan ako nagturo. Ok lang yun. Ito yung shocking year sa akin. Big school.and big personalities ang meron. Exciting ito kasi feeling ko reset ako pero with knowledge and experience na. Teacher na ako na may decision na talaga. Ang tsaga ko nito. May advisory na ako. Ang fulfilling nito kasi marami ako nagawa. Naging part ako ng community na nakapagturo na ako ulit. May takot ako nung nagsisimula ako pero na enjoy ko yung experience. Madaming challenges plus ang saya nung nasasama ka na sa sistema. Bida - bida ako nito. Medyo maboka tayo nito. Malakas loob to do things. I would rate this year 8/10.

Super Sipag Year

2nd year ko na sa hopia. Nagka - adjust na ako sa sistema. Marami akong nagawa sa panahon na ito. Kunh Bida - bida ako last year, nung taon na ito Bida na ako. Taking leadership na ako. Sa pagtuturo ko nagstart na yung chance ko to develop program. Natuwa ako sa pagtuturo kasi nagkachance na ako to create all parts in whole school year. Bida pala ako dahil naging leader ako sa mga activities sa school. May projects na ako for students. Nagstart na ang dalawang naging commitment ko sa pagtuturo ko which are research and training for competition. I would rate this year 9/10.

Challenging Year

Kakaiba ang taon na ito. Kakaiba kasi load ko. Halo halo ang tinuturo ko na subjects. Ok lang naman. Masaya yung experience. Ito yung taon na nagstart na yung exposure ko sa labas ng Hopia. Nakakakaba sa una pero ang nakakatuwa. Nagpresent na ako ng research. Narecognized ka na sa ginagawa mo. I would rate this year 8/10.

Umpisa ng Advocacy

Year na nagstart na regular faculty na ako. This year is very remarkable. Ito yung taon na nilalaban ko yung sarili para sa mga students ko. May mga bagay bagay ka na kailangan mo sabihin kahit alam mo na pwedeng maging komplikado. Maraming natutunan. Nag umpisa na ang mga malakasang competition kahit di kami makapasok sa pagkapanalo pero yung mag qualify na consistent sa orals round ng MTAP ay achievement na sa mga bata at sa akin. Nag-umpisa narin ang trip ko na mapasama sa Microsoft Ediucatiom Ambassadorship program. Napili ako na mapasama sa programa. I would rate this year 9/10.

Making Quality

Ito yung taon na sinumulan ang integration ng technology sa pagtuturo ko. Initiative ko yun na magstart ng exam via online form thru LMS. Mahirap kasi parang di bebenta pero salamat sa mga support. Ito rin yung taon na nilaban ko ang pagtuturo gamit ng insttuctional material which is yung book. Ang saya kasi dito ko naramdaman yung pagaan yung trabaho sa pagtuturo. Hindi madaling tanggapin sa lahat yung movement mo ng digitalization pero laban lang ako. Ito rin yung taon na naging official Microsoft Education Ambassador ako. I would rate this year 8/10.

Puro Ganap

Marami akong ganap nitong school year na ito. Nakaktuwa yung experiences. Isa sa remarkable ay magpresent ako sa harap ng mga college professors ko sa PNU for a research conference. Ganado ako sa Math competition. Di sa pag-aangas, pero kung saang grade level ako ilagay dun yung nakakapasok sa orals round ng MTAP. Rating ko sa year na ito ay 9/10.

Global na Tayo Ever

Ito yung taon na narealized ko namatagal na pala ako sa pagtuturo. Hindi na ako baguhan na teacher. Gumagabay na ako aa bagong teachers. Ito naman yung taon na nagkaroon tayo ng certication sa Microsoft. Nahirapan ako bago ko makuha yun. Ito rin yung taon na nakagawa ako ng 3 research report. Super saya rin nung narecognized ako as Microsoft Innovative Eduacator Expert na global ang level. Ito rin yung taon na bongga ang gamit ko ng LMS na di ata gusto ng mga bata pero biglang nag pandemic kaya dun nila narealized yung sense. Ito rin yung taon na pinagtatawanan ako kasi nagrerecord ako ng lesson ko para panoorin namin sa classroom. Nagpandemic nung patapos na yung school year. Hindi ako nahirapan maghagilap nun. Nakakatuwa in a way yung naging advantage for me. Rating 8/10.

Iba na ang Takbo

Naging madali sa akin ang taon na ito kahit sobrang daming ganap. Parang ito yung taon na nagshare ako ng mga practice ko ng digitalization ng education. Ang challenge ko nung panahon na ito ay sa cellphone ako nagtuturo ever. Enjoy ako nito ever. Nagrecognized ako ulit as Microsoft Innovative Edicator Expert for the 2nd year. Global ulit ito ever. Feeling ko nagkasense na ako sa community. Napakinggan na kung baga. Rating ko ay 10/10

Realization Malala

Ito yung taon na marami akong narealized sa pagtuturo ko. Marami pa pala akong kayang gawin. Salamat sa technology. Nakagawa ako ng research this year. Nakapagpagawa ng 51 research ng mga bata. Rating 8/10

In general, masaya ang unag sampong taon ng aking pagtuturo. Alam ko na gustong - gusto kong magturo. Nag - iisip ako kung paano ko ipagpapatuloy ang gusto ko at yung mabuhay. Hindi ko masasabi kung ano ang pwedeng mangyari pero ang alam ko magtuturo ako. Sana may natutunan naman mga naging students ko at sana nagamit naman ng mga guro na binigyan ko ng training ang naibahagi ko.
